We've
been trying out a lot of 3d virtual sex games as they get
released, but we've never been too impressed with the visual,
interaction, or animation quality. All of that changed when
EGirl v1.2 was released.
We
were a bit skeptical trying it out at first, but were pleasantly
surprised at the overall game. In EGirl, you basically interact
with a girl named Alys by answering her questions (it's multiple
choice). Your answers dictate what she does next. The game
comes with many different sessions. In each session, Alys
talks about something different, and is wearing a different
outfit of clothing (usually quite sexy). A few of the sessions
take place in beautiful environments like an abandoned cathedral,
mountain cavern, or a "vine jungle".
The
best part of this game is the realtime camera control. You
can set the camera to focus on differnt parts of Alys, and
then you can zoom in and out, and rotate around her using
your mouse, to get just the view you're looking for.
A
bit on graphics: EGirl is the most advanced 3d sex game, in
terms of graphics, that we have ever seen. It uses state of
the art pixel and vertex shaders (think Doom3, HalfLife 2)
to render Alys and the environments in which she strips for
you. You can tweak graphics settings pretty easily, and turn
on and off full-screen blur effect (which looks very nice,
we might add). This requires a DirectX 9 compatible graphics
card, like a Radeon 9800 or Geforce 5900 FX. EGirl will also
run in "basic graphics mode", but it is not nearly
as nice looking. Seriously, we'd upgrade our video card just
for this game!
We
talked with the developers of EGirl about what they have in
plan for future developments, and found that they are actively
developing version 1.5, which will be released in December
2004. It will have more sessions, features, and another girl.
It will be a free upgrade!
